Member Service Representative - Westside

Location:  100 Village Court El Paso, TX 79912

Shift:  M-F 8:45 a.m. - 5:45 p.m., some Saturdays (40 hrs)

Description:  Responsible for performing a wide variety of member services, sales and service functions and generating sales referrals within the branch to assist in achieving goals. Performs miscellaneous loan closing activities as assigned. Incumbents in this position provide quality financial service to members and prospective members, and all other tasks as assigned by supervisor. This position requires excellent public relations skills, a thorough knowledge of deposit services and all other credit union products. Multi-tasking is essential for this position and it requires a thorough understanding of teller functions and procedures. Timeliness, efficiency, accuracy, strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and professionalism are vital to the successful execution of this position.

Requirements:  EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: High school diploma or equivalent. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE: Knowledge of Credit Union loan services, policies, and procedures, collection policies and regulations. Understanding of related legal and regulatory standards, and required loan documentation and procedures. Knowledge of consumer and residential lending practices. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Minimum 1-3 years of related experience in the financial services industry. SKILLS/ABILITIES: Excellent interviewing, communication, and public relations skills. Professional appearance and a positive team centered attitude. Strong analytical and financial skills. Ability to operate related computer applications, and other business equipment including calculators, PC, printer, telephone and general office equipment. Good typing skills. Excellent multi-tasking skills required.

Mortgage Loan Processor

Location:  12020 Rojas Dr.; El Paso, TX 79936

Shift:  M-F 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m., some Saturdays

Description:  This position will work closely with the loan originator and the loan manager. Must know the mortgage loan guidelines for all loan programs being offered including Conventional, FHA, and VA. Must understand all disclosures and their purposes. Required to keep abreast with changing guidelines and regulations affecting the mortgage department and participate in continuing education. Must attend Community events as a representative of the Credit Union. Responsible for auditing mortgage loans. Promote Credit Union mortgage loan products to members and potential members. Conducts initial pre-qualification interviews as needed to assist the Mortgage Loan Officers. Conveys policies for extension of credit in accordance with Credit Union and secondary investor guidelines. Have essential product knowledge to properly communicate products to members and potential members. An understanding of interest rates. Must actively listen for cross-selling opportunities of all Credit Union products and services. Serve members, prospective members, builders, title companies and realtors promptly and professionally.

Requirements:  EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: High school diploma or equivalent. As required by the Safe Act, must be licensed or registered through the NMLS (Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System) and maintain annual renewals; however, not required. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE: Mortgage lending knowledge required. Knowledge of Credit Union loan policies, products, procedures, processing, and underwriting guidelines preferred. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Minimum 2 year mortgage lending experience. SKILLS/ABILITIES: Excellent interviewing, and communication skills. Bilingual. Knowledge of the operation of general office equipment such as personal computer, 10 key calculator, etc. Ability to evaluate alternative solutions and make sound and effective decisions.

Title Clerk Specialist

Location:  12020 Rojas Dr.; El Paso, TX 79936

Shift:  M-F 8:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m., some Saturdays (40 hours)

Description:  Responsible for recording the Credit Union's lien interest through the processing of state registration, tax, and title documents. Checking the accuracy of documents and ensuring that all required parts of forms are filled out, signed, and up to date. Check for accuracy of vehicle sale and purchase prices. Verifying the accuracy of figures, calculations, and postings pertaining to vehicle titles and related documentation. Familiar with Credit Union lending policies and must adhere to those policies when performing daily work. Required to stay abreast of any regulatory changes ensuring the Credit Union's practices are in alignment with updated regulations.

Requirements:  EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: High school diploma or general education degree (GED). REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE: Knowledge of word processing and other computer applications. Moderate understanding of loan processes. Knowledge of title work highly preferred. Basic understanding of Credit Union operations and functions. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: One to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. SKILLS/ABILITIES: Excellent word processing and data entry skills. Accurate and pays attention to detail. Ability to organize and follow-up on work. Able to operate a PC, typewriter, telephone, and other basic business equipment.
