TFCU Donates Close to $20,000 to Local High Schools

Since its launch, in October of 2019, the TFCU High School Spirit Debit Card Program has completed its first round of donations. Thanks to the program and its users, TFCU was able to donate close to $20,000 to 33 local high schools in the Canutillo ISD, Clint ISD, El Paso ISD, San Elizario ISD, Socorro ISD, and Ysleta ISD school districts.

The TFCU High School Spirit Debit Card allows account holders to customize their cards with the logo of their local high school. For every qualified purchase made on these cards, TFCU donates $0.05 to each account holder’s school of choice. In addition, for the first 3 years, TFCU will match this donation for each school adding additional funds to support all local high schools. These donations will benefit high school programs, clubs, teams, and student organizations.

New Schools Coming Soon

TFCU is projected to add 5 new schools to the program in 2020 to include county school districts such as Tornillo ISD, Fabens ISD, and Anthony ISD. This new addition will complete the program to provide support for all El Paso County school districts in Region 19.

Giving Back

As the Coronavirus Disease continues to impact schools across the country, booster clubs, and other parent-teacher organizations who typically put on events and fundraisers to raise money have had to pause their efforts.

The TFCU High School Spirit Debit Card is a great way for anyone in the community to actively give back and help raise funds for the school of their choice without having to directly pay out-of-pocket or make any changes to their budgets.
