2022 Scholarship Application Now Open

At TFCU, one of our founding principles is education. As a pillar in the community, it is our pleasure to provide 12 individuals with scholarship opportunities to help propel them towards achieving their educational goals.

This year, in addition to these scholarships, we honor our late Vice President of e-Commerce, Mr. Michael Sandoval, by introducing the Michael Sandoval Memorial Scholarship. During this first year of the memorial scholarship, we will be awarding six individuals studying within a STEM field (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) with a $5,000 award.

Mr. Sandoval graduated from UTEP with a Bachelor’s of Science in Electrical Engineering, and traveled across Texas through his work for both for both small, and Fortune 100, companies. He specialized in developing and executing and e-commerce sites that were industry recognized as best-in-class.  Mr. Sandoval’s commitment to education and his passion for sharing his 20 plus years of knowledge in his field are just some of the reasons why we are so proud to honor him through this STEM memorial scholarship.

Applications submissions are now open and are due by May 15, 2022.

To apply for a TFCU Scholarship, applicants must be:

1. A primary account holder of TFCU.
2. A graduating high school senior or enrolled in an accredited university.
3. Accepted as a full-time student at a college or university, carrying 12 credit hours or more.

If not selected for that scholarship, they will be included in the pool of applicants for the TFCU Community Scholarship.
